I'm a little late to the party, but I just found out about the NetGalley Challenge sponsored by Red House Books. Basically, it's designed to encourage bloggers to read (and of course review!) all those NetGalley e-ARCs and review copies we sign up for! Since I have already secretly vowed to do much better on that front this year, joining the Challenge was a no-brainer (and it's not too late to sign up!)
I'm setting my goal at 20 NetGalley books for the year, which puts me in the Green Star level:
Green Star: Read 11-20 NetGalley books in 2013
Since the challenge runs all year, I can count the NetGalley titles I've already read and reviewed:
- The Lost Prince (Call of the Forgotten #1), by Julie Kagawa
- The Runaway King (Ascendance Trilogy #2), by Jennifer A. Nielsen
- The Nightmare Affair (Arkwell Academy #1), by Mindee Arnett
- Spellbinding, by Maya Gold
- Oz Reimagined, edited by John Joseph Adams and Douglas Cohen
Wish me luck!
Good luck with your goals! I have The Nightmare Affair on my TBR. Will have to check out your review.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and good luck with yours, too!

ReplyDeleteGood luck! I try not to sign up for more than I can handle...as long as I keep to YA lit, I do fine. It's when I start getting heavier books that I have trouble keeping up!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to sign up for more than I can handle, either... but sometimes I ask for several at a time figuring I'll only get approved for one or two, and get all three. And sometimes I figure that it's been over a month since I requested a title, so I'm not going to get it -- and then surprise! I get approved.
DeleteGood luck with your goals, she has a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one, and helpful to keep me on task so I don't let any of my NetGalley books slip through the cracks!
DeleteYou're off to a good start! NetGalley is worse than any candy store so these challenges are an excellent way to keep up.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bea! Yes, I got myself into trouble requesting a few more books than I could handle at once, last fall. I'm trying to avoid that this time around.
DeleteI didn't know she was hosting the Netgalley Challenge again! I think I'll have to go sign myself up even though I'm not reading many NetGalley books right now :)
