The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It's a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.I'm out of town, spending some time with extended family at a mountain lodge in Virginia. Internet access is iffy, so I've prepared a few posts ahead of time, but if I haven't answered your comments so far, it's because I can't! That's also why I switched to CAPTCHA for the week; I'll go back to moderated comments as soon as I get back. And I'll catch up with you all over the coming week, I promise!

The Raybourn's look interesting! I definitely need to read more of that series. I'm super curious about The Book of Life. Hope you're having a great vacation!
ReplyDeleteWe had a terrific time and it's not over yet! A little over half the family have come back to our house, and several are staying until midweek (the others leave tomorrow.)
DeleteAs for the Lady Julia Grey series, I'm way behind. I read books 1 and 2 several years ago; now I need to catch up!
The Stephanie Laurens book looks like a fun series that I hadn't heard of and I'm intrigued by the Mary Robinette Kowal novelette. You always help me add to my TBR:)
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of assistance! ;-) I've actually been wanting to read Kowal's Glamourist Histories series, and they just came in at the library. If only I can find time to squeeze them in!
DeleteI still need to read the second book in the Harkness series. I hope you're have a great time with your family.
ReplyDeleteIt's been wonderful! Some of them came home with us and are are staying on until midweek, which will be really great.
DeleteI think you'll enjoy the second Harkness book - if you like historical fiction along with your paranormal stuff, that is!
I'm curious about the enriched editions, what extras do they have?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying your family time and see you when you get back!
I have no idea; I haven't had a chance to look at them yet! I didn't have any of the books except #1 (though I've read #2 from the library), so I grabbed them when they went on sale.
DeleteWe're back, and it will be good to "see" everyone! But we've still got family staying with us, so I'll be checking in in spare moments.
I've still got to read the first book in the All Souls Trilogy, but I'm hoping to squeeze it in this summer, I really want to read Raybourn this year too. Great haul Lark!
ReplyDelete- Kimberly @ Turning the Pages
I can't wait to read book 3; I've been excited about it for 2 years! And I'm hoping to get back into Raybourn's series this summer or fall at the latest. Have a great week, Kimberly!
DeleteHope you are enjoying yourself with your family out there. Lucky you, to get the third Harkness book! I actually have book 2 on my kindle and somehow never got to it. I've been reading shorter books lately-- more in a week-- but perhaps I will get busy on reading it so I can go straight into The Book of Life. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI need to clear one or two review books off my list before I can start the Harkness, and I'm so tempted to just dive into it anyway! But I guess I'll feel better about myself if I don't get too far behind on everything else. ;-)
DeleteEnjoy your vacation, and Midnight thief looks very interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg! It really does, and I'm very grateful to Anya for sending it to me. I have to figure out how to squeeze it in soon!
DeleteHi! I always enjoy your comments on my Gnoming Librarian posts, so now I'm tagging you for the Book Blogger Test if you are interested in answering a few bookish questions. http://www.thegnominglibrarian.com/2014/06/the-book-blogger-test.html
ReplyDeleteIf not don't sweat it but thought it might be a fun exercise and I'd be interested in your answers!
Thanks, that sounds like fun! Stephanie tagged me too, so I'll definitely be doing this soon! And I'm glad to be making your acquaintance!
DeleteMidnight thief looks very good ! Have fun with your family and have a great week in the mountain ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, we did! Some of them came home with us and stayed through much of this past week, so I'm still behind on answering comments. Sorry about that! I'm trying to catch up now. :-)
DeleteI didn't get my Sunday Post up last weekend. I'll have to get all caught up this weekend. :) Hope you are doing well and enjoy the summer. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck - I hope you got caught up! I'm doing fine and have been enjoying family visits, but it's put me behind on reading, reviewing, and answering comments. Hopefully I can catch up this weekend (meaning 6/28 and 6/29.)
