The catalog copy (book description), now up on Goodreads and at major retailers, reads:
After traveling through time in Shadow of Night, the second book in Deborah Harkness’s enchanting series, historian and witch Diana Bishop and vampire scientist Matthew Clairmont return to the present to face new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home at Sept-Tours, they reunite with the cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches—with one significant exception. But the real threat to their future has yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on even more urgency. In the trilogy’s final volume, Harkness deepens her themes of power and passion, family and caring, past deeds and their present consequences. In ancestral homes and university laboratories, using ancient knowledge and modern science, from the hills of the Auvergne to the palaces of Venice and beyond, the couple at last learn what the witches discovered so many centuries ago.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Preorder the book: Amazon
(If you're interested, I reviewed the first two books: A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.)
Hurray! I'm putting in my Amazon order now.
ReplyDeleteBetter warn family and colleagues now - I'll be unavailable for 48 hours (or less!). I'm also eagerly awaiting news of the movie! If you haven't seen the campaign to have Richard Armitage cast as Matthew Clairmont, you should check it out at www.armitage4clairmont.com.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I'd better schedule a day off when it comes out! Armitage would have been wonderful as Matthew about 10 years ago, but I'm not sure -- I think he might be just a trifle too old for the part now. Benedict Cumberbatch is starting to grow on me, though I don't know how well he would handle the romantic side.
