... is sarcastic, satirical fun.
You may know Jim Hines as the author of Libriomancer, Codex Born, and the Princess series featuring Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White as three-dimensional, kick-a** heroines. Or maybe you know him as that guy who dresses up and poses like the women on SF and fantasy covers, to point out how sexualized and sexist that artwork is (not to mention unrealistic.) In his most recent blog post, Hines is back at it, skewering the mysogynists in the SFFH world for their ridiculous snobbery toward women authors in the field. Well worth reading.
Oh, and don't miss the comments, as a result of which my TBR list is growing exponentially.
He is awesome and one of those authors I support not because of his books but because of his behavior.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Well, actually, because of his books, too, at least Libriomancer, which I loved for its sheer geeky fun.
