I've been pretty busy this week, but I did come across a few interesting articles other than the Tor/Forge announcement.
"Retail DRM is an Apple. Library DRM is an Orange." (Michael Kelley, The Digital Shift) (The apple in question is the fruit, not the hardware/media company.)
"There's a $3 Sweet Spot for eBooks, But $6 eBooks Earn More -- Smashwords" (Nate Hoffelder, The Digital Reader)
"E-ink Posted a Loss Last Quarter (Damn the Kindle Fire)" (Nate Hoffelder, The Digital Reader) This is a little disturbing, since E-ink is the primary manufacturer of e-ink screens. Many people do seem to want a color screen, but I find reading on them to be harder on the eyes -- and despite improvements, I don't think they do as well in sunlight. I understand wanting all your functionality on one device, but I suspect voracious readers like me will continue to prefer e-ink screens for reading. On the other hand, I've been wrong before.

I love to hear what you have to say -- really! Unfortunately, I've been getting a lot of spam in addition to your wonderful comments, so I've had to turn on comment moderation. That means your comment may not post right away. I promise I'll post it -- and answer it -- as soon as I can!
