If there's anything you've been putting off, or something you only do once in a blue moon, today is your chance.  Tonight is the second full moon within this calendar month, making it a blue moon by the modern definition.  If you'd like to know more about the science and history of blue moons, take a look at:

Tammy Masters' Pinterest board for a Shadow of Night read-along is super cool.  It's best if you've read Deborah Harkness's Shadow of Night before looking at the pins, though, as there are some spoilers.  I particularly love the Nicholas Hilliard miniatures, the ones that could have been Matthew and Diana (above), as well as the contemporary portraits of many of the historical figures in the novel.  Here, for instance, is Christopher (Kit) Marlowe.

I love to hear what you have to say -- really! Unfortunately, I've been getting a lot of spam in addition to your wonderful comments, so I've had to turn on comment moderation. That means your comment may not post right away. I promise I'll post it -- and answer it -- as soon as I can!
