Why I want to read it: Lisa Van Allen's magical-realism novel, The Wishing Thread, was one of my favorite books of 2013, so when I saw this book was coming out, I was really excited.  Gardens and mazes and a touch of romance and perhaps a hint of magic (or perhaps not) -- it sounds wonderful!

    Oh I have this one! I haven't read The Wishing Thread but the fact that you enjoyed it so much is definitely encouraging. I'm going to have to move this one up the list!

    I haven't read anything by this author, but this book sounds intriguing.

      I think it's her second book. The first was wonderful - magical realism, family dynamics, and a satisfying ending.
