Sunday Post - 9/14/14

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  It's a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I'm back into heavy-duty indexing again, with a project due at the end of this week. So while I had plenty of posts prepared for this week, next week might get a little thin. On Tuesday, though, I'll be over at Herding Cats & Burning Soup, being interviewed by Anna for her Kitten Confessions feature -- I hope you'll stop by!

The Carpet People ($1.99) is mostly for Robin, who loves Terry Pratchett. The two Elkins mysteries were impulse buys after I read the first one in the series, and Dueling Magics is a free short story in a series I've just started reading.

Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

  1. Good post, good week for you. I appreciate your Tuesday list of the underrated mystery authors. I'm going to be checking them out :)
I've seen Keri Arthur's other UF series and wasn't sure if it was for me, but I'll check out her website and see if there are titles by her that I would enjoy. Thanks for sharing all this and try to relax during your stressful project this week.

  6. Good luck with your project! Sounds like you got some great books this week. I love Aaron Elkins though I have yet to read any of this series. I own several but haven't gotten there yet. I'm curious to see your 1 book list as I'm sure I'll get some great ideas from it. Loved your mystery authors post! Have a great week!

  7. Nice Top Ten post this week, you gave me some mystery writers to consider. I have a few Rhys Bowen on the shelf and hope to get to those soon, and since the rest come highly recommended I'll have to look into them as well. I seem to be reading more mysteries these days...

The cover of the cruise mystery caught my eye too...

I love to hear what you have to say -- really! Unfortunately, I've been getting a lot of spam in addition to your wonderful comments, so I've had to turn on comment moderation. That means your comment may not post right away. I promise I'll post it -- and answer it -- as soon as I can!
