The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It's a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Many thanks to the wonderful Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer!
Bought or free for my Kindle:
I read The King Must Die at least twice in high school and college, but haven't read it since. It was my first introduction to adult historical fiction, and it blew me away. So when it went on sale for Kindle, I grabbed it, hoping to re-read it someday. The other two were free.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading!
Lost Under a Ladder looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt does!
DeleteSorry to hear that you've had a bit of a reading slump, but I hope you enjoyed watching The Roosevelts.
ReplyDeleteYou look like you have some great books this week, so I hope you enjoy them. I've heard good things about Storm. I hope you have a good week.
The Roosevelts was really good! And I'm looking forward to getting my reading mojo back this week with several fun mysteries.
DeleteGreat titles here, most new to me. Under a Ladder looks cute and easy to read, but fun. Rather than listing all your titles that appeal to me, I will just say thanks for sharing these so folks like us can add *even more* books to my toppling TBR :) Have a good day!
ReplyDelete*grins* That's me, the TBR enabler!
DeleteYou got Waistcoat and Weaponry! *beats back the jealousy* You have several good books; some day I'm coming over and raiding your shelves and your kindle. :D
ReplyDeleteExhaustion will certainly affect your reading; it's good to take a break now and then.
If it's any consolation, Bea, it's the first time I got one of that series, and I've tried for all three. I think it's just the luck of the draw. And you're welcome to come raid my shelves or Kindle anytime! (I might raid yours, too!)
DeleteNice review of Wednesdays in the Tower, that series is popular in our house and my daughter will be happy to hear that the new one is coming out in a week or so. We watched some of the Roosevelts too and enjoyed it...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg! Glad you enjoyed The Roosevelts too. But I'm looking forward to getting my evenings back, or at least some of them. :-) My husband and I do enjoy watching movies or TV shows together sometimes.
DeleteI've been going through the same thing reading-wise, Lark. I've had a hard time concentrating on reading and hard time deciding what to read. I think watching too many new TV shows may be my problem. We've watched some of the Roosevelt series and have watched Miss Marple and Peroit and Dr. Who.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week and don't worry about comments. It all works out in the end.
I love the old Miss Marples with Joan Hickson, and the Poirots with David Suchet. (I honestly don't think anyone will ever top his performance.) And Robin would really like it if I were watching more Doctor Who!
DeleteThanks for the reassurance. I will try to catch up on comments, as well as get some reviews done for this week and next!
Reading slumps are tough, I am so behind on my reading because of me being sick two weeks ago and I just can't seem to catch up. still reading the book for a review on monday.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week! Happy Reading :)
I'm sorry you were sick - I remember you mentioning it at the time. Yes, that can play havoc with your reading, especially if you've got a fever or headache. My old eye doctor used to tell me not to read at all when I was sick, and I try to follow that if I'm running a fever, but for a bad cold, I just ignore him!
DeleteI've got to finish a book for a tour on Wednesday, so I sympathize with your current situation. And I'm also finishing an ARC for a book that came out last week. Oh, well. We'll catch up!
I'm so excited about Dreaming Spies, I wish I could read it out of order just to jumpstart my reading mojo again. But I have a couple of other interesting mysteries coming up for tours, and one of them will probably do the trick.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that Laurie R. King that I haven't seen before??? Must find out more! Yay for Teardrop Lane and If the Shoe Kills. I'm really looking forward to reading them.
ReplyDeleteI know when I have a busy few weeks like you've had I need a mental break for a bit. hopefully you'll be able to relax and get back with your reading soon. Have a great week!
I've been in a reading slump for a while, so I can empathize. I didn't know the Roosevelt documentary was on streaming - I need to check that out!
ReplyDeleteHopefully next week is better for you reading wise, looks like you have some great books to check out. The knitting one looks cute (I live on a farm, so I had to LOL at the knitted cows).
Your books are awesome! Hope you're enjoying them!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine!
My Week in a Wrapped #1
Ahhh! I too am jealous that you have Waistcoat and Weaponry! I can't decide if I am going to see what you have to see what you have to say about it or if I am going to firmly put my hands over my eyes and go "la la la" loudly until I can get my hands on my own copy.
